Scott Campbell, ACSW, LCSW

J. Scott Campbell, ACSW, LCSW, Clinical Director has over 40 years experience in the planning, development and implementation of behavioral health services for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Scott is a skilled, veteran mental health administrator and supervisor who served as Associate Director and Chief Operating Officer for a large community mental health center in McHenry County for 39 years. He has directed a number of counseling programs throughout his career. Scott is committed to the provision of Service Excellence through our dedicated team of licensed, experienced professionals focusing on providing “Hope, Help and Healing” to all who seek our services. Scott is committed to providing the highest level of service utilizing both evidence-based and faith-based approaches encompassing both solution-focused and strength-based approaches. Scott provides consultation services to schools, churches, business and industry and provides Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and Management following a crisis situation. Clinical interest areas include mood disorders; grief and loss; relationship issues and suicide prevention. Scott is a Certified Trainer of “QPR – Question, Persuade, Refer” – a nationally acclaimed Suicide Prevention Program and is available to present this training in the community. Scott has served on a number of health and mental-health related boards of directors and currently serves as Co-President of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in McHenry County. Scott is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois and a member of the national Academy of Certified Social Workers. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Carthage College in Sociology, Psychology and Secondary Education and his Master’s Degree in Social Work from George Williams College with a concentration in clinical-psychiatric social work and community mental health.

Jeanne Hanson, Executive Director

Rev. Jeanne Hanson, M.Div, ordained UCC pastor. Jeanne earned a B.A. at University of Illinois and a Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary, and served nearly 10 years in parish ministry. Jeanne provides pastoral care, spiritual direction and clergy care. She is a member of the Barrington Area Ministerial Association, on the board of H.E.R.E. in Barrington, and the Sesquicentennial Committee. She is a 28 year resident of Barrington and has two married daughters.

Christine Guerra, a graduate of Robert Morris University, joined Samaritan in September 2016. Christine had previously worked with many of our Samaritan staff members at Family Services in McHenry for over six years and is excited to be working in Behavioral Health arena again. More recently, Christine worked at Comprehensive Urologic Care in Barrington as their Office Manager. She was also a board member of the Northern Illinois Medical Managers group. Christine has lived and worked in the McHenry County area most her life. She currently resides in Crystal Lake with her husband and two grown sons.
